It's not 1990. Why use a travel agent?
It's a valid question, and honestly, I never used one. So why should you?
There's a science to trip planning. You may save some money on a hotel, but be stuck in an area with no restaurant options. Or you could realize the must-see attraction needs tickets that have been sold out for months. A travel agent such as myself can use their knowledge to plan a trip avoiding these headaches.
In addition to saving you a headache, a travel agent can save you time. It takes hours to plan even a basic trip. Let someone else figure out what neighborhood in Paris to stay. All you have to do is have a good time.
A travel agent can sometimes save you money as well. With my experience and knowledge that I have gained through my own travels, I can help you find deals you wouldn't have been able to find on your own. This includes agent-only suppliers and deals that may not be readily available to the general public.
So in conclusion, while the travel world has changed since 1990, travel agents are still a valuable resource for travelers.
